牧者的话
2020年是异乎寻常的一年, 因新型冠状病毒肆虐，全球各国被迫进入封锁状态，我们的国家新加坡也不例外。
对外，我们的边界封锁了。对内，我们各自的家门也被迫紧闭。家家户户减少外出、减少接触以防止病毒蔓延、使疫情进一步恶化。各大小教会也都暂停了例常的主日聚会及活动，被迫转向使用线上平台进行聚会。大家习以为常的活动、操作、运作…大部分在一夜间都被喊停！世界似乎停顿了！随之而来的是一段漫长的艰辛时日…
就在这样严峻、艰苦、忧伤的环境下，圣约基督教会在神的恩典下成立了！
当初联手创立圣约基督教会的有宋德华牧师与尹惠兰牧师夫妇、联同何进南牧师与李淑娟传道夫妇。
成立圣约基督教会是基于2个主要负担及感动：
- 有许多流离失所、没有固定属灵家园、没有确定牧者关怀喂养的羊群正在外边四散流荡 (马太福音9:36），而疫情更使到这些羊群日益俱增；
- 有许多还未认识主耶稣基督的灵魂，面对当前严峻的瘟疫时代而感到恐慌、彷徨、惧怕、沮丧，这些灵魂需要耶稣的救恩以获取平安，他们更需要一个属灵家庭的关怀。
圣约基督教会的成立，就是怀着一股期盼、一份热忱，希望能给这些四散的羊群、未得救的灵魂一个属灵的家。尤其是在疫情肆虐的艰苦时期，圣约基督教会希望这个属灵的家，能够让大家一起来与主耶稣基督建立亲密的关系、与圣灵搭建健康的沟通、与上帝确立圣约的关系，并能彼此扶持、相助相爱、共同分享居留在圣约里的约福！
正如教会的名称，圣约基督教会希望能让人们与主耶稣恢复在圣约内的关系。
因此，圣约基督教会将竭力朝以下目标努力耕耘：
- 将是一群以心灵诚实敬拜独一真神的基督徒群体；
- 将是一群被圣灵充满、及圣道充实的基督徒群体；及
- 将是一群能影响现时、现世、高举基督的基督徒群体！
我们深信，主耶稣在这动乱不安的时代允准圣约基督教会的成立，是为了成就祂的美意。
我们祈盼，与主耶稣同心、同步、同途地建设圣约基督教会这个的家，并透过这个家让众信徒们能回家、归队、完成各自在主里的使命、见证基督耶稣的荣耀！
在此，圣约基督教会欢迎您回家，让我们与神的旨意对齐，高举主耶稣基督，向世界宣扬并见证祂的福音与荣耀，联手吸引未得救的灵魂也来回家！

Word from Pastor
2020 was indeed an unusual year, where the entire world faced a global pandemic. By God’s grace, Covenantal Church of Christ (CCOC) was established during such a time of trials and uncertainties.
The team who pioneered CCOC consists of pastor Soon TF and his wife, pastor Wan WL, together with pastor Alex Ho and his wife Samantha Lee. There were two main reasons for starting the church.
- The Lord placed a burden upon their hearts when they encountered believers who were weary and scattered without a spiritual home: “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” Mat. 9:36.
- The second group of people the team was moved to reach were the pre-believers who were facing anxiety and great challenges in the pandemic period. These people need the Gospel of Salvation and Peace of the Lord Jesus Christ. They need a spiritual home for care and comfort.
CCOC is established with such passion and burden for the lost. CCOC hopes to provide a spiritual home for one to enter into the Covenant of God, building a close relationship with the Lord through communion with the Holy Spirit.
As the name of the church suggests, the team hopes to bring people back into the covenantal relationship with the Lord to build:
- a Christian community who worships the one and only God in Spirit and in Truth.
- a community whose life of worship is both Spirit-led and Word-filled.
- a community that goes forth to impact the world.
We believe the Lord has personally approved the establishment of Covenantal Church of Christ (CCOC) in such a chaotic time to prepare the way for the Lord. We labour together to build His house, for the many to return home to fulfil their destiny and glorify Christ. Let’s align ourselves with His will, uplifting Christ, impacting the world, preparing the way of the Lord to lead people home.
